How Pro works
A license that's fair about what you keep.
What do I keep if I stop subscribing?
Every world released while you paid stays yours for good. Worlds released after your subscription ends stay locked, and open again if you come back.
How many computers can I use?
Three. A computer is added the first time you enter your key on it, and counts once, whichever Threadcrumbs app you enter the key in. To make room for another, remove one in Polar's customer portal.
Does Pro need the internet?
Now and then. Entering your key adds this computer, and Pro worlds download from Threadcrumbs once your license is checked. After that, the license is checked on your computer with no network call. Threadnauts renews it about once a week while it's open and online, and being offline never turns Pro off.
Do I need an account?
Threadnauts has no account. When you buy Pro you get a license key, and you paste it into Threadnauts' settings.
Does Pro read or send anything more?
Pro adds worlds and nothing else. When you enter your key, Threadnauts sends the key and a random ID for this computer to the Threadcrumbs license service. After that, it sends only the license itself, to renew it about once a week and to download Pro worlds. It never sends your threads, code, or project names.
What about Threadgauge?
To use Threadgauge Pro as well, get the bundle above: one license key unlocks both apps, and each computer counts once, whichever app you enter the key in.
What does the bundle include?
Threadnauts Pro and Threadgauge Pro on a single license key, which unlocks both apps on the same three computers.
I already have one app's Pro. Can I get the bundle?
Yes. Switch your subscription to the bundle yourself in Polar's customer portal, and you pay only the difference. Your license key stays the same, and the computers it's on keep working. You keep what you've paid for: your license covers each app through the latest date you've paid for it.
Every world
23 free, 57 with Pro.
Every world has its own ground, scenery, and light, from dawn to night. New worlds arrive as they're made, and each one opens for everyone subscribed on the day it's released.
